Our panel of veterinarians is well qualified to handle everything from routine exams to complex surgical procedures. They are highly skilled and familiar with every aspect of veterinary medicine. Each is continually educated on the new procedures and medicines available for the treatment and care of your pet. Each doctor has a specialty in areas such as emergency medicine, oncology and pain management. You can rest assured that this team of experts will take care of you and your pet in any situation.

Dr. Craig Maloney
After receiving his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Chicago, Dr. Craig Maloney attended Colorado State University where he received his DVM degree in 1996.

After purchasing Mountain View Animal Hospital in 1999, Dr. Maloney has made numerous improvements. These improvements reflect Dr. Maloney's philosophy of practicing veterinary medicine.The entire hospital has been remodeled and the latest and most sophisticated instruments and diagnostic equipment has been added.

Dr. Maloney believes strongly in continuing education. All hospital employees are required to pursue courses in continuing education. Veterinarians as well as staff members are extremely knowledgeable and must be on the "cutting edge" of veterinary science.

Dr. Maloney participates in several veterinary organizations. Some of these organizations include: The International Association for the Study of Pain and The Veterinary Cancer Society. He is also a member of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.

Dr. Maloney is married, has 3 children, and 6 pets. The pets include 2 cats, a dog, one ferret and 2 horses.

Dr. Niki Eld
Dr. Niki Eld has been employed as a full-time associate veterinarian at Mountain View Animal Hospital since 1988. Previous to her employment at Mountain View, Dr. Eld worked as a staff veterinarian at the Animal Emergency Clinic in Boise.

A native of the area, Dr. Eld attended McCall Donnelly High School and Idaho State University. She attended veterinary school at Washington State University and received her DVM degree in 1979. As a veterinary student, Dr. Eld was awarded the American Society of Animal Science Scholarship.

Dr. Eld has attended dozens of veterinary conferences and hundreds of hours of continuing education. She is an active member of numerous veterinary organizations. Some of these organizations include:
American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, Idaho Veterinary Medical Association, Veterinary Post-Graduate Institute, and the Southwestern Idaho Veterinary Medical Association.

Throughout the years, Dr. Eld has accumulated numerous pets. Along with spending time with her pets, Dr. Eld enjoys swimming, camping, reading and gardening.
